I realize we’re now 8 days into April, but better late than never with picking back up with this series…yep, the one I’ve only posted 1x so far back in November, but hey, we’re getting there. 🙂
New Balance 550 / Makeup remover pads / sweatshirt / bodysuit / heels / pup – not for sale … 🙂
From a last-minute trip for a concert in Georgia to running a half marathon to an actually planned trip to Boston, March was far from boring. Definitely an expensive month between shopping for spring pieces, getting what I needed for the race, team apparel, money spent on travel…and everything needed for life in between. It’s been a lot but I’m so grateful for the opportunities and genuinely have to credit Connor for making each of those experiences happen.
New Balance 550
I probably won’t shut up about these for a while but I finally got them form GOAT and have worn them non-stop and all over Boston. They were the perfect travel / city walking shoe. I’m obsessed with the green and I’d deff get other pairs & colors.
Makeup Erasers
My best friend Brooke told me about these while in Florida together in January. I ordered this 7-pack on Amazon and have used them religiously ever since. I use one each evening to remove my makeup with just warm water, then put them in the wash bag, and wash at the end of the week. Voila. No need to use a bunch of extra makeup remover products.
Mitchel & Ness + ’47 Brand
We had so much fun shopping for Red Sox & Celtics gear prior to our trip. This sweatshirt in particular is lightweight and so comfy. I love the oversized text that gives it a cool vintage vibe. If you’re catching a pro sports game this spring, Mitchell & Ness and ’47 brand have the best picks. This was the tee I wore to the Celtics game.
SKIMS Bodysuits
Like Kim K. or don’t, one thing’s true for sure—she makes great bodysuits. I was skeptical when this one arrived. It looked sooo tiny but once I put it on – omg. The buttery fabric, the stretch, the fit!! I even went braless and felt great. Quickly ordered another color.
Raffia heels
These Dolce Vita cuties were a new arrival and are perfect for the spring/summer season. I’ve worn them once so far and find them comfy, easy to walk in, and they pretty much go with everything.
Dodger
Our pup is always on the list of loves and makes for the best homecoming. It’s hard to leave him or take him to boarding but we love seeing how relaxed and happy he is when we’re both back at home with him.
Notes on Life
Since the half-marathon (which despite not training, went better than I thought), I’ve been craving movement and simplicity. I also recently got a Garmin watch and am loving being able to track my steps, sleep, and activity. It’s really motivated me to get up from my desk and get moving.
I’ve also been working to be more consistent with building better habits like drinking enough water, taking my vitamins, walking Dodger each day, reading more, drinking less alcohol during the week, etc. Little shifts that I can tell are adding up to make a difference on how I feel across the board.
I think discipline really helps breed self-confidence and contentment, so I’m striving to get back to basics and remain steady.
April will be a big work-push with no travel but Easter, attending a wedding, and a few other fun occasions here & there. All in good balance!
Hope your spring is off to a great start. xx
