It’s taken a bit of getting settled into our house (read 2+ years) and trialing a few rugs in various places, but we’re finally all rugged up! I’m happy with each of them so I’m sharing all the rugs we have throughout our home.
We have “Brazilian teak” floors so they’re cherry-red-brown. They’re beautiful and in great condition, but definitely not my first choice. I’ve loooove wide-plank white oak floors and hopefully, we’ll have them some day but for now, we’re making what we have work. The color of our floors definitely influenced my rug buys as I tried to tone down the red but still play into the earthiness.
Upstairs – We have this IKEA jute rug under the coffee table in front of our large double-chaise couch.
Dining – Love this rug under our wood dining table. I was worried about the red tones on reddish floors, but it actually complements them so well.
Living – If I’m being honest, this rug is my least favorite. It may be how we’d cared for it or that we don’t have a super thick rug pad under it but it just looks a little worn/dirty to me. Family & friends say they like it but I could see replacing this one at some point. (I love this one and this one and this one.)
Kitchen Nook – This one is part of the Amber Lewis x Loloi collab. The brown tones and earthy boho style with pops of color spoke to me for some reason, even though that’s not typically my style! I love it with our brown velvet barrel chairs from Target.
Hallway – By far my favorite! This is from the Margot collection by Loloi. It’s a slightly thicker pile and sooo soft and the faded colors are just perfection.
Entryway – We’ve had this one the longest and it’s definitely another favorite. It shows no signs of dirt and handles high traffic well so it’s perfect for an entryway, utility room, or kitchen. Low pile, low maintenance.
My Office – One of the pricier ones in the bunch, this handmade rug is just so cool. It’s on the thinner and rougher side so a thick rug pad is definitely necessary!
Guest Room – Nice, neutral, and easy! Perfect for the foot of the bed.
Kitchen – This one’s inexpensive, so I haven’t had to worry to much about it being under the sink and potentially susceptible to spills. It’s also soft and has a rubber bottom so no rug pad necessary!
Primary Bedroom – (No longer available) Another favorite! Scored this on sale from Lulu and Georgia by Jenni Kayne. The brown tones are prettier in person and I hope this lasts us forever!
Laundry – Was hoping I’d like this one as much in person and I absolutely do! I’m not a big fan of (read: can’t stand) our off-white tile so I love that this covers it and also complements it really well! The texture is the same as most other Loloi rugs.
Do you love having rugs in your home as much as I do? Which is your favorite?
